Forces of Nature

Water trickles down my face,
As I stand in this sacred place.
Wind lightly caresses my skin,
Telling of all the places it has been.

Fire absorbs into my soul,
Warming the essence that is my core.
Earth flies around my being,
Awakening my senesces to all that I am seeing.

The thought of you controls me every whim,
And the fear of eternal darkness slowly begins to dim.
I feel there is much more to come,
And thousands of things still left undone.

The presence of you in my life,
Has cast away all signs of strife.
Although you might end up being only a spirit,
You still make my heart long to sing this lyric.

As I center myself back into my mind,
I gaze upon this most beautiful shrine.
Surrounded by the elements I feel at home,
Always strong, brave and never truly alone.
